ERICA WALD

FOUNDER AND CO-OWNER

I’ve been in the fitness industry for 12 years, with the last 6 deeply rooted in prenatal and postpartum training — a space I care about both professionally and personally. I’m a mom myself, and becoming one completely reshaped how I view strength, training, and what women actually need from their bodies across seasons of life.

At Commit, I developed and built our entire pre- and postnatal training sector from the ground up. That includes creating our prenatal and postpartum programming, establishing safety and assessment standards, and training our coaches to confidently work with pregnant and postpartum clients — not just cautiously, but effectively. This work is one of the things I’m most proud of.

I’m also the creator of HER, a digital fitness platform designed for women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. HER was built to fill the gaps I kept seeing in the industry — programming that’s evidence-based, realistic, empowering, and rooted in functional core and pelvic floor health, not fear or limitation. It’s strength training that adapts with your life, not against it.

My approach to training has always gone beyond reps and aesthetics. I care about how you feel in your body, how you move through the world, and how confident you are in your own strength. Physical results matter — but they’re never the whole point. I want women to trust themselves, take up space, and feel capable in every phase of life.

I was born and raised in Minnesota, went to school at the University of Kansas, and eventually found my home in Denver — where I met my husband and business partner. Together, we built Commit with the belief that great coaching, intentional community, and honest conversations change lives. If you’re looking for a place that challenges you, supports you, and meets you exactly where you are — you’re in the right place.
